Explorer Program Suspended

As the world navigates the challenges and threats from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we at Air Products are continuing to help maintain the health and safety of our colleagues, customers, suppliers, and communities. We are strongly committed to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all our employees and guests.  Given recent concerns about exposure and the risks of the novel coronavirus/COVID-19, we have decided to suspend our Explorer Programs effective immediately.  We have published a COVID-19 Information Center page on our public web site to provide information about our overall responsiveness pertaining to COVID-19.

This means that the IT Explorer Post upcoming meetings have been postponed until further notice. Thank you for your understanding. As this is an emerging situation, additional updates will be posted on our website here and sent by email as they become available.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an age limit?

Participation is for students in 9th through 12th grade (including home school).

Can I join any time?

Yes. You can start participating any time during the school year. It's ok if you miss the opening night event or the first meeting - there are no prerequisites. Please contact us so we can register your visit with security.

Can I try it before registering?

Yes. You are welcome to try a meeting of the IT Post and the Engineering Post each before registering.

Is there anything I need to do before visiting a meeting?

If coming for your first time during this current school year, please let us know so we can get you pre-registered with campus security. Please go to our Contact page to let reach us.

Can I attend both IT and Engineering Posts?

Yes. Each Post alternates, meeting every other Wednesday. So if doing both, you would be here every Wednesday.

Where can I find the registration form?

On the Exploring Program website: http://www.exploring.org Direct link to file: http://www.exploring.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/10/246120-Exploring-Youth-Application-PF.pdf

Do you cancel meetings?

For weather and emergancies, we follow what the Parkland School District does. So if Parkland has no school or lets out early, there won't be a meeting that evening. We also update the announcements section of the site when canceling.

Is this for current Boy Scouts only?

No, while the Exploring Program was started by the Boy Scouts, it is a seperate program and avialable to any high school students.

Are there other Exploring Posts in the area?

Yes. For a list of Posts available: http://www.minsitrails.org/exploring

If attending other Posts hosted at other businesses, do I need to register for each one?

No, one registration form and fee covers participation in all of the Posts of the Exploring Program.

How much does it cost?

$41 for first time participants and $36 for returning students that had registered the prior school year.
